The DevOps team is a part of our development department, where you will be working together with around 30 other developers within UX, backend, frontend, distributed processing and tooling, to develop and improve our Argus platform. The Argus platform constitutes the core of our security service deliveries to our customers, and is a daily working tool for our security analysts and customers.

Our mission is to continuously improve the platform with new services and capabilities, while serving an ever increasing amount of customers, data sources and data, performing security analysis on over 80 billion events every day.

How we work

We work in a "squad" structure, meaning you will be working on a set of relevant applications with resources from frontend, backend, and ux.

Squads help break up the large Argus ecosystem into byte-sized chunks and limits the amount of context switching. We work 10 days focused on one task, followed by 10 days of everything else (minor bugs, features, maintenance, training, etc.). We take pride in writing high-quality code through PR reviews and well planned tasks. We also have dedicated days for personal development.

We operate with a flat structure with little to no bureaucracy when it comes to making decisions. No matter how long you've been here, your opinions and suggestions are always valued and taken into consideration. mnemonic as a whole has an informal and pleasant working environment that provides opportunities for growth, influence and variations in tasks.

The DevOps team constitutes a supporting function for all other squads, as well as other developers in mnemonic. The team is responsible for central DevOps services such as GitLab and Artifactory, as well as tools to support good DevOps processes. Every squad is responsible for their own DevOps configuration, but we promote reuse of common solutions and patterns, and look to the DevOps team to support this.

As part of the DevOps team, you will be working with:

  • Development and maintenance of common solutions for CICD pipelines in GitLab.
  • Development of tools to simplify and improve CICD pipelines for all developers.
  • Setup and configuration of DevOps related tools, such as Artifactory, SDLC tools, dependency scanning, etc.
  • Promote DevOps methods and assist with figuring out good DevOps practices in other teams.
  • Setup and testing of internal Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Communication with other departments related to planning of new solutions, changes to existing solutions, as well as debugging/troubleshooting.
