mInternship: Project assignment, Managed Security Services
Would you like to be part of an environment that discovers, handles, and responds to security incidents and threats?
Why mnemonic?
-
mnemonic is the leading company in the Nordics within IT and information security, and a significant contributor to the European security landscape.
-
We work on some of the most exciting assignments in Norway: eight out of the ten largest companies in Norway are our clients, in addition to a series of public organisations.
-
mnemonic covers a wide sprectrum within IT and information security, two fields of science in immense growth.
What does MSS do?
- Through our internship, you will become part of mnemonic's department for Managed Security Services (MSS). At MSS, we work to discover, handle, and respond to security incidents and threats for our customers.
- The threat landscape is changing at a rapid pace, and threat actors are becoming increasingly creative and persistent in their pursuit of targeting businesses. To keep up, technical systems and methods must be continuously developed, and large amounts of data must be processed as part of intelligence work.
- Throughout the internship, you will be working on a project assignment adapted to our needs, as well as your wishes and areas of interest. This could be the development of new detection tools and methods, evaluation of security solutions, assessment of detection capabilities, or mapping of different types of attack techniques that are observed in the threat landscape.
- You will become a part of a large security environment where professional knowledge and integrity are highly valued. You will become acquainted with the most modern security solutions on the market, and will gain insight into how threat actors try to circumvent these. Perhaps also contribute to the detection and prevention of real attacks?
Who are you?
- You communicate well in both Norwegian and English.
- You are studying technology or data science, and are in the third or fourth year.
- For those studying technology:
- You like to familiarise yourself with technical issues and are curious about how technology can help expose the attackers.
- Prior knowledge of programming, networks and platform understanding (operating system/cloud) is useful.
- For those studying data science:
- You enjoy mapping trends and changes over time, and are curious to how processing data can steer security work in the right direction.
- Prior knowledge of data modelling, processes and algorithms, and visualisation methods are useful.
